As the President of the Board of Directors I would like to welcome you to the KidsWork Children’s Museum web site. If you are a frequent visitor you will see many new changes have occurred; we have new
events lined up, new links to some of the best educational websites for you to use with your children and information regarding them museums new master plan. But most notably the biggest change these last few months is our name. After a great deal of research and thought our Board decided on the name KidsWork Children’s Museum. Our new name represents the many children that will come through our door that are from the surrounding communities, it is our estimate that once our doors open we will serve over 30,000 children a year. Our new name also represents our belief that play is the true work of childhood – we will provide a safe place filled with opportunities for children to dedicate themselves to this very important job!
In order for us to get to the point of providing this place for children to do their work we have our work cut out for us – we just kicked off our $1,000,000 capital campaign at our “live to play ...play to learn” event this May. Our capital campaign includes provisions for 4,000 square feet of interactive exhibits and two program rooms where we will focus on bringing unique educational experiences to our children. Please take a look at our Donor Circles and consider making a donation to this very worthy cause, we are available to answer any questions you may have about how you can become a part of this very exciting adventure. It will take all types of donations and assistance to reach this goal and together we will build a museum that is a wonderful place for our children to get to their work!
